SEWING/BEADING DROP-IN CIRCLE

2-Spirited People of the 1st Nations is happy to announce the arrival of the Sewing/Beading Drop-In circle. Registered members are invited to join us in-person at our Program Office (located at 2126 Danforth Ave) to connect and learn as we explore Traditional Beadwork and Sewing (think regalia, ribbon shirts/skirts, etc). Some materials are provided, however we do encourage you to bring your own if there is a particular style you wish to create. We have limited sewing machines on site and encourage you to drop by to participate, share and join in this experience.

FIRE KEEPING TEACHINGS & DRUM CIRCLE

Are you looking to build a relationship with the Sacred Fire or the Hand Drum? Would you like to further your understanding of this Spiritual Relationship before caring for one? Could you benefit from a safe space to offer medicines/prayers? If so, we would like to invite you to join us at Allan Gardens to connect with the fire and learn/sing some songs! Following the fire teachings, Tracy Barker will be leading a drum circle where everyone is welcome to join and share songs. Snacks will be provided, remember to bring your shakers and drums.

FIRE KEEPING TEACHINGS

Are you looking to build a relationship with the Sacred Fire? Would you like to further your understanding of this Spiritual Relationship before caring for one? In this inclusive program, we aim to (re)ignite this passion for members wanting to learn Traditional Fire Keeping Teachings. A number of community leaders have agreed to help deliver these teachings through this hybrid style program, meaning we will be meeting In-Person AND on Zoom for our national/international members. Snacks will be provided, drums and rattles are more than welcome!
