In honour of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the 2S Thunder Bay office will be CLOSED on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, as our staff will be participating in the Annual Orange Shirt Day Walk & Gathering, hosted by Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN).
We will walk together in support of Residential School Survivors, their families, and in remembrance of the children who never made it home.

Event Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Opening Remarks: 10:30 AM at the NAN parking lot
Walk Begins: Between 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Lunch: Approximately 12:30 PM at Vickers Park, followed by activities, displays, and information booths.
We encourage our community members, families, friends, and allies to join us as we come together in remembrance, reflection, healing, and solidarity.
As we honour the Survivors and the children who never returned home, we reaffirm our commitment to truth, reconciliation, and creating a future where every Indigenous child is valued, respected, and celebrated.
