Join us for MMIWG2S+ Day at the beach as we come together for a day of remembrance, connection, and community by the water. We will be located at the picnic tables in front of the lighthouse, right next to the boardwalk, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The closest TTC stop to the Kew Beach lighthouse is Wineva Ave at Queen St East. It’s right on the 501 Queen streetcar line and only about a 2-3-minute walk south to the beach and lighthouse area.

Drop in event.
The day will include singing and drumming. Please bring your drums and rattles as some will also be provided. There will be food, red dress card making to honour our loved ones, and a sacred fire led by a youth fire keeper. This is a time to gather, reflect, and honour MMIWG2S. All are welcome.
