Therapist bio:
Hey! My name is Liz Pfisterer. I’m a social worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor, and I’ve spent almost 10 years working with people who’ve experienced violence or have been involved in the justice system.
I know that talking about feelings isn’t easy—especially after maybe having negative experiences with systems and workers. That’s why trust is the most important part of the work I do. I’m not here to judge you or tell you who you are. I’m here to listen, to learn, to understand, and to create a space where you can feel safe enough to talk, at your own pace.
I use approaches like narrative therapy and DBT, along with tools from ACT and CBT—but honestly, therapy isn’t about the fancy words. It’s about building a real connection, helping you find empowerment in your story, and finding ways to get through tough moments.
This is your space. Your story matters. And if you’re open to it, I’m here to walk with ya! Looking forward to chatting soon!
