INTERNATIONAL OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY

Monday, August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day. It is a day that aims to raise awareness for overdoses and reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths.

Over the years we have all lost so many of our loved ones, our family, our friends, our community members to overdose. And through this pandemic those numbers have been staggering.

Starting next Monday (August 31st), and continuing for the rest of the week (August 31st-September 4th), 2-Spirits will be sharing stories of community’s experiences with overdoses, as well as some important information/education.

If you wish to share your story, mourn a loved one, share a loving memory of someone you may have lost to a drug-related death please reach out to Saige McMahon over our Facebook or at 437-249-6837.

You can share in anyway that feels comfortable to you such as written words, a poem, pictures, a video, etc. If you need any support with this, please feel free to contact Saige.
