This extensive community mapping and needs assessment across Ontario has been much more than a simple project—it has been a sacred journey of reconnection and more profound understanding among our people. We deeply value every community member whose contributions and insights have proven invaluable. Their openness in sharing their journeys and perspectives has profoundly enriched this assessment, promising to strengthen and refine the services we offer to our community. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our Elders— Elder Blue from Toronto, Elder Pat Green and Linda from the Sixth Nations, Knowledge Keeper Ash from Thunder Bay, and Elder Sharp from Ottawa. They supported us with their wisdom and guidance in running the research ceremonies and collecting the testimonies in a safer environment. We also thank the respected 2-Spirits Knowledge Keepers and community leaders across Ontario, who supported us to bring our members together from different spheres of life. Special thanks are due to the board and staff team of the 2-Spirited People of the 1st Nations, whose dedication and hard work to collect those testimonies and feedback.
